“ Stars for their variety of flavors and treats. The kids loved the Cookie Monster flavor and one ordered 3 differed flavors for one cup. It was packed and busy during spring break but the line goes fast. -1 Star for the price. It was $10 for 2 1-scoop cups of icecream. They charge 98cents an ounce. At HEB, it's about 12cents so you're paying for the ambience. ”
“ I'm so glad we took the advice of a very nice mom and her daughter. They said to try the Mexican vanilla ice cream. This place doesn't disappoint so yummy. The staff is so nice they talked us into affogato, it is Gelato with too shots of expresso oh my goodness, so delicious. This place is cozy and very inviting. Definitely. A must-see if you stop through. ”
“ Came to have a sweet snack after hiking enchanted rock! We were not disappointed! I had the pumpkin toffee crunch ice cream and it was amazing! Toffee crunch in every bite! We were served immediately and given a sample of flavors we were interested in! It was a bit noisy but then again, it's a Saturday in the middle of the day! I would definitely come back!! ”

“ ATTN: .99 cent coffee! if you are looking for a no frills cup of joe. not sure is was on the menu. i just ordered same as my "local" friend did. regulars apparently have their own cups stashed there. mom & i made 3 stops here during our week in fredericksburg - twice for ice cream & 1 time for coffee. LOTS of varieties of ice cream! all come by the ounce - like yogurt. "average" cone about $6. sotell em togo light if you want a smaller portion. i also so a "flight" offered with 3 "smaller" portions. they also have a grill with burgers & sammies as well as a delicious looking dessert case with offerings if you werent in the mood for ice cream. ”
“ Really great place on the main drag in Fredericksburg to get a sandwich, salad or dessert. It fits in well with the old-time charm of the neighborhood while serving up some awesome food. We enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich and the Reuben, both built atop fresh bread with lots of quality meat and condiments filling the inside. The baked goods are excellent as well. The pecan pie bar, the pecan lemon bar and the peach cobbler are well executed with just the right amount of sweetness. We didn't get to try out one of the thirty flavors of ice cream but we'll be stopping here again soon to do that. Recommended. ”
“ We were searching for a casual spot for lunch while visiting Fredericksburg and we stumbled upon Clear River. It was the perfect spot for us! They are diner style and you order at the counter and take a seat. We each ordered a different sandwich. The chicken bacon ranch special, the Turkey Zinger, and the Turkey Club were all good. Their seasoned kettle chips were also a highlight. Before we left, we stocked up on baked goods. Their gooey butter cake and brownies were delicious. We also saw plenty of people stop by to get ice cream while we were there. All employees were very helpful too. ”
